In this workshop, students will use the micro:bit’s drag and drop interface, MakeCode, to learn how to code the device. Students will walk through the various features of a micro:bit and learn how the code they create can activate animation, temperature sensing, radio buttons and motion sensors. In this interactive workshop, students will learn the basics of network communications and how computers communicate via these networks. Using Cisco Ethernet switches and their own laptops, participants will construct a private network and exchange information through the network. They will also be taught how to use a protocol analyzer to capture and inspect traffic on the network.
