Forking, Cloning and Creating a Website with Git/GitHub

In this workshop, students will pull a clone of a web page from a GitHub code repository and work to edit the webpage. The goal of this workshop is to give each student a sense of ownership over what they create, to highlight the ownership value of Git’s distributed model. The students will also learn how GitHub allows thousands of people to work on a project together to add new features and easily view changes. Students will get to continue to customize their website at home! No prior technology experience necessary. (Download Git and Atom. Sign up for free GitHub account.)
