The numbers behind TechGirlz’ biggest year ever

Whoa, looks like it’s been TechGirlz’ biggest year so far.

The humble number of 165 girls reached by the initial batch of programs back in 2013 has seen some exponential growth through the years: the 2015-2016 school year wrapped up with a total of 2600 girlz enrolled in 125 workshops, according to the nonprofit.

Since last year’s recap, the number of programs has more than doubled, up from 58. Attendance also grew by about a 1,000 girls when compared to last year’s number: 1,555.

What’s more, the total footprint of the Philly-based organization aimed at teaching middle-school girls technology skills is rounding 5,000 students, according to their 2016 Annual Report…
