You Can be a Photographer: Photography for Marketing
Event sponsored by First Flight Venture Center and run by TechGirlz.
In this workshop, you will discuss your general knowledge of editing and what styles you are drawn more towards. We will take a look at different types of photography, discussing the photo itself and what you would like to see different about the photo from composition, to color, to different edits. We will use a free software (PIXLR) and a smartphone app called PhotoLayers to look at different effects that can be added to your photos. We will also, use one or two participants as our subjects to take portraits. Each participant will have one minute to capture the shot she wants. When complete, we will walk through what you like and don’t like about your photo, then moving on to editing; enhancing what you want others to feel about your photo.
A tour of Hangar6, Research Triangle region’s premier prototyping and design assistance space for technology-based companies, will begin promptly at 5:10 PM. The workshop will take place immediately following the tour.
