About the Speaker: Deepansha is a mathematics-computer science student at the University of California, San Diego. In the past, she has completed a summer program at Google called Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute, where she worked on Javascript projects and connected with Google engineers. She completed a summer school at IBM and interned in web development and quantum computing. She is very involved in the “girls in tech” space and has immersed herself in various initiatives to increase female presence in this area. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in either quantum computing, machine learning, or a combination of the two areas.

Talk: Ever wonder what is quantum computing and machine learning? Currently, Google’s quantum computer has solved a complex problem in 200 seconds, which would take the world’s fastest supercomputer over 10,000 years to solve. Deepansha will be speaking about the real-world applications of quantum machine learning, which lies at the intersection of quantum computing and machine learning. A Q&A will follow this talk.

This event is for 5th-12th grade girls! Students will need access to a computer and the internet.

Please send an email to Sara Neiman if you have any questions. Thanks!
