Podcasting
Event run by Lansdowne Public Library.
Podcasting is a powerful way to communicate stories, news reports, and information. In order to create an effective podcast, students need to learn how to make their stories engaging and use sound to put their listeners into the aural environment of their story. They can accomplish this through music, sound effects or sounds gathered from the environment of their story.
This workshop plan familiarizes students with podcasting software, such as Anchor, Audacity or Garageband, followed by creating a simple, personal podcast recording.
Students will need access to a computer (no Chromebooks) and internet. No food will be provided but registrants may bring their own snack. Students must download Audacity (https://www.audacityteam.org/download/) and WebEx (https://www.webex.com/downloads.html) prior to the event.
Please send an email to Alex if you have any questions. Thanks!
