    Models and Molecules

    August 23 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Everything we see and touch is made of atoms and molecules. But they are too small to see directly. As a result, we often use models to better understand molecules, what they do, and how they are made. Models can be drawn on paper, held in your hand, or displayed on a computer.

In this workshop, we will work with different types of molecular models. We will learn how scientists use these to understand synthetic and natural molecules, including those of living organisms. We will work with models of interesting molecules and learn how computers help scientific discovery!

Note: Parking available on site. Registrants will be greeted at the entrance. Computers will be provided but registrants may bring their own. Snacks will be provided.

Please send an email to Laurie Doan if you have any questions. Thanks!
