Make an Animated Bracelet with Micro:bit
In 2017, every 7th grader in the UK was given a tiny programmable computer to help them learn coding. So what is this small, affordable technology called? A micro:bit!
In this workshop, students will use the micro:bit’s drag and drop interface, MakeCode, to learn how to code the device. Students will walk through the various features of a micro:bit and learn how the code they create can activate animation, temperature sensing, radio buttons and motion sensors. Students will also design and make their own animated bracelet.
Check out Makecode ahead of time to ensure you can access the site and start projects. Make sure to bring a computer that has a USB connection port so that you can download your programs. Parking available in front of the building. Workshop located in suite 1 right at the end of the building. Snacks will be provided.
Please send an email to Meghan Janoson if you have any questions. Thanks!
