  • Lights, Camera, Action: Storytelling and Video Production

    October 17 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

All Virtual Events are Scheduled/Run in Eastern Time. Click Here for a time zone converter.

    Event run by AAUW Greensboro.

We took our Videocasting and Newsroom Story Production workshops to a new level by combining the two ideas to make one amazingly fun workshop that anyone could run. In this workshop, students will learn how to construct stories and learn techniques to produce/edit photo and video content using mobile devices. (OpenShot.org or another open source video editing tool, phones or cameras with photo and video capturing abilities, and earphones with built in microphone required),

October 17 is Black Poetry Day! During this workshop students can commemorate the day by choosing a Black Poet of their choice, finding the basic information about that person, and creating a 2-3 minute video about them using pictures or any footage they can find.

Students will need a computer with Windows, Linux, or MacOSX and internet. Please download OpenShot prior to the event.

Please send an email to Lauryn Wynn if you have any questions. Thanks!
