Cybersecurity Basics: How to Manage Cyber Risks

    May 18 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

Event run by Greater Philadelphia YMCA.

In this workshop, students will learn about cybersecurity on the personal and corporate level. They will learn how to stay safe from scammers and how to protect their information by creating strong passwords. Then, they will learn the basics of networking, how data travels across the internet and what organizations can do to protect themselves from attackers trying to steal their data.

Students need a computer (Chromebooks OK!) and access to the internet. Students may bring a snack. Greater Philadelphia YMCA's supporting partner, GIRL STEMPOWERMENT, helps more girls access fun, free workshops, making a meaningful contribution to closing the gender gap. These free workshops are open to middle school girls in our community ages 10 - 13.

Please send an email to Thomas if you have any questions. Thanks!
