Code & Play Your Own Game with Makey Makey, Scratch and a DIY Game Controller
Event run by Newtown Public Library.
Learn how to code your own game and create your own working game controller using everyday household items and food! In this workshop, students will use a Makey Makey Inventor’s kit to build a custom keyboard out of unconventional conductive materials, such as fruit and Play-Doh. Students will then pair their keyboard with the game created in Scratch programming in order to connect the digital and physical world.
No prior experience necessary!
Please create a Scratch account if your child does not have one already. Join by clicking “Join Scratch” (upper right corner of page). Be sure to use an email and password they will remember!
