TechGirlz Talk: Bashira, 14, explains how TechGirlz changed her perception of herself and tech

Less than 25% of technology workers are women. TechGirlz started 7 years ago to change that statistic. We inspire middle school girls to explore technology with our TechShopz workshops. Almost 10,000 middle school girls have been to at least one TechShop. 75% of attendees say they have changed their mind about a career in tech. Listen to one of our alum, Bashira, age 14, talk about how TechGirlz has changed her perception of herself and technology. This is a speech she gave at a recent gathering of STEM teachers.
Knoxville Summer Camp Teaches Girls Power in Coding

We are honored to be included in the NBC 10 Today's Inspiring Woman: A Women's History Month Special highlighting six women in the Philadelphia area who are making a difference, as well as commemorating women that have inspired us throughout history.
