Philadelphia Leads the Nation in STEM Workforce Diversity

The latest Census Bureau’s American Community Survey says that Philadelphia ranks second-best for diversity in STEM. Women comprise 37% of the workforce in science, technology, engineering and mathematics occupations. TechGirlz founder Tracey Welson-Rossman recognizes the value of this but believes more can be done to get us to number one!

“Based on the Women in Tech Summits in other cities, Philly has a very strong women-in-tech community. We still have a long way to go, though.”
