TechGirlz Receives Grant from SAP for 2014

Grant to Assist with Providing Young Girls Education and Experience to Take on Leadership Positions in Tech Industry

August 20, 2014 (Philadelphia) – TechGirlz, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls to be future technology leaders, is a proud recipient of a grant from The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Student Assistance Program (SAP).

SAP’s Corporate Giving Program provides funding for organizations to continue their efforts in addressing the needs of education for underserved youth and entrepreneurship initiatives. In 2014, they selected 70 non-profit organizations to provide funding for in North America, including TechGirlz.

“We are honored to have been awarded this grant from SAP,” said Tracey Welson-Rossman, founder of TechGirlz and chief marketing officer at Chariot Solutions. “This grant will help us to continue inspiring young women to become next generation leaders, influencers and innovators in the tech industry.”
